WXR-2533DHP factory firmware

initramfs + fakerootの構成。メーカーファームにおいて、UBI内のKernelパーティションがおよそ5MBしかないため、デフォルトから何もパッケージを追加していない最小ビルドの状態でないと入りきらなくなりやすい。

手順

  • WebUIからfactoryファームを投入

    メーカーファームのWebUI上で、ファームウェア更新ページからfactoryイメージを選択して更新を実行

  • OpenWrt initramfs上でsysupgrade

    更新実行後再起動され、factoryファーム内のOpenWrt initramfsイメージで起動する。ここで、UBI形式のイメージを使用してsysupgradeを実行する。
    通常のtar形式のイメージでもsysupgradeできるものの、この時点では30MB前後あるfakeなrootfsがそのまま引き継がれてしまうため(正確にはfakeroot自体は158byteであるが、sysupgrade時にfakerootをバックアップする手法が
    # cat /dev/ubi0_x > /tmp/fkroot.bin
    であるため、30MBのボリューム全体が書き出される)、UBI形式のものを使用してmtd0を丸ごと書き換える。
    なお、UBI形式のイメージを使用する場合metadataの問題があるので
    sysupgrade -F
    を使用する。

  • 完了

    UBI形式のイメージでsysupgrade後、起動してくれば完了。
